Kinyontis Heard Obituary

Kinyontis Dynell Heard, affectionately known as Kenny was born Sunday, October 22, 1978, to Juliette Heard and Willie Lapsley. He made his transition from labor to reward on Tuesday, April 08,

2025 at UAB Hospital after a three-year battle with Sarcoidosis.

Kenny fell in love with the Lord at the age of thirteen and joined the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Marion under the leadership of Rev. A.L. Brown.

Kenny was a dedicated hard-working young man. Kenny went wherever the work took him. He worked in Marion at Fred’s, the Perry County Nursing Home, Tek Pak, Shelby

County, AL, New Mexico and operated a store in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Kenny was the kind of young man who led by example, showing up early, staying late, and never

cutting corners especially when barbequing. He took pride in doing things the right way, and his dedication to his children, mother, siblings, and family is a legacy he will be

forever remembered for. When facing challenges, and during his extended illness Kenny approached it with focus, humility and a heart of thanksgiving. Kenny loved life

and everyone he met in life. He had a heart of gold. Kenny was the most humorous person in the family. Yea he had jokes.

He was proceeded in death by his stepmother, Marie Lapsley; grandparents, Oscar Sr. and Dorothy Heard, Dorothy Hogue, Precious Jackson; aunts, Deloris Terrell, Johnnie Mae Norfleet, Diane

and Donna Heard; uncles, Will and Oscar Heard Jr.
