Bertha Mae (Carlisle) Tabb

Bertha C. Tabb was born July 5, 1943 to Emmitt Carlisle Sr. and Christine Carlisle Williams. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Greenleaf Missionary Baptist Church where she met and married Willie James Tabb, Sr. in 1958. To this union six (6) children were born. She departed this life April 30, 2023 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie James Tabb Sr.; her sons, Eugene Tabb, Larry Tabb; her granddaughter, Ronesha Williams; two brothers; and two sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memories four (4) children: Barbara Tabb, Willie James Tabb Jr., Rose (Tommy) Williams, all of Marion, Alabama, and Betty (Alfred) Woods-Bell of Fort Wayne,
Indiana; two (2) sisters, Sallie L. McNeely of Birmingham, Alabama; Anna Bell (Abraham) Edwards; one (1) brother, James (Rae) Foster of Waukegan, Illinois; five (5) sisters-in-law, Willie
Mae Tabb (George) of Marion Junction, Alabama; Rosalean Tabb, Jessie (Melvin) Sprott, Leola (Arthur) Billingsley, all of Marion, Alabama, Eula {Arthur) Carlisle of Tuskegee, Alabama;
one (1) brother-in-law, Robert Tabb of Fort Wayne, Indiana; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 5, 2023, 9am-5pm at Ashley's Lee & Rollins Funeral Home. The homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, April 6, 2023 1pm at Greenleaf Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will immediately follow in the churchyard cemetery. The staff and management at Ashley's Lee & Rollins Funeral Home extends our deepest sympathy and prayers to the entire Tabb & Williams families.
